Moving forward, we are embarking on franchising to bring Golden Pillows closer to our customers, some of whom come from as far away as Germany and Japan. We are therefore seeking interested franchisees to participate and share in the growth of our success. Together, we will bring Golden Pillows to each and every doorstep over the world. 


About Us

Entrepreneur, Mr Tong Lee Song is the Managing Director of Golden Pillow 933 Pte Ltd which is, at least to our experience, a unique chicken concept. A Golden Pillow is a curry chicken or mutton inside a loaf of bread. Not necessarily something which you'd want to rest your head on, with all that curry getting stuck in your hair. But judging from the success of Mr Tong's 933 chain, it has caught on in Singapore.

Mr Tong started his career in food service in the 1960s as a road side hawker in Singapore. Later on in the 1970s, he upgraded with a group of friends into the coffee shop business. Then in the 1990s, he started the 933 chain, best known for its roast duck and herbal salted chicken. Finally in 1997, genius took over and Golden Pillows were born.

Concocted with the assistance of a professional baker, Mr Tong says that Golden Pillows are made with the finest pastry-quality wheat and butter along with just the right mix of spices for the curry. Mr Tong's 933 chain is currently at 1 Kaki Bukit Road 1 #05-11 Enterprise One. $3 Delivery charges apply for every order. Curry Chicken bun goes for S$14.80 and Curry Mutton Bun at S$17.80.

Mr Tong wants to open 20 more branches in Singapore over the next 5 to 10 years and wants to branch out into other countries. No doubt a dream that came to him while sleeping on a Golden Pillow.

Golden Pillow is uniquely designed to be soft like a pillow, wrapping its savory curry while keeping the strong aroma in the loaf. Once the bread is peeled off, the curry sauce fills the bread and the aromatic flavour is simply irresistible.
